Guide To Atlanta
Atlanta is well known for its lively nightlife. With thousands of bars, pubs and nightclubs, there is no shortage of after hour's entertainment.Atlanta 's vibrant nightlife includes small intimate venues perfect for sipping wine with the one that you love to high-energy dance clubs that are packed from wall to wall.

Atlanta has long been known for having more bars than churches, and in the South that's a bit unusual. Most bars and clubs are open seven nights a week until well after midnight . There really is something for everyone in the city; you'll just have to experience the nightlife to find out what is right for you. If you're not sure where to start, you may want to start your evening out in Buckhead.

Buckhead is the city's party headquarters. With bars and nightclubs lined up one after another, there is never a shortage of entertainment options. There are 100 bars and restaurants within two blocks of the intersection of Peachtree and East Paces Ferry, which makes taking a cab or public transportation to and from this busy area a realistic possibility. You can spend an entire evening hopping from club to club without every having to walk more than a few hundred feet.

Spend the entire weekend in Buckhead, but make sure that you book early because the hotels go fast. The Crowne Plaza Atlanta Buckhead offers luxurious new guestrooms, courteous service underscored by an uncommon sense of urgency, and a chic, urban bistro. If you're a frequent traveler, you'll recognize the Fairfield Inn Buckhead. Situated in the heart of exclusive Buckhead, this hotel is within walking distance of shopping and nightlife, with the top five restaurants in Atlanta just steps away.

If you would rather just chill out in Buckhead and avoid the loud music and crowds, you may want to pull up a stool at the Beer Mug. As you might guess, the Beer Mug specializes in everything beer, and is a great place to start and finish your evening. Open since 1968, the Beer Mug was one of the first sports bars in Atlanta and is considered a landmark drinking institution by many. You can expect two things when you visit the Beer Mug—cold beer and televisions tuned to the latest sporting events.

If tables games are more your style, The Buckhead Pool Hall has you covered. The pool hall has been serving the village for more than 50 years, and is the oldest bar in Buckhead. Billiards and beer are a winning combination at this charming venue. Of course, the beer is always flowing inside this spacious facility. If you want to feel like a local, this is the bar to visit.

Nightclubs are also big business in Buckhead. For a Latin flavor, the Havana Club is not only a location where you can learn salsa dancing, it is also one of the few places where you can take your dance lessons to the dance floor. The club plays authentic Latin music every night, and has the look and feel of a classic cigar bar. The Sanctuary is a scaled down version of the Havana Club, with a Caribbean and Latin theme, but without the crowds that you may encounter at Havana .

The East Village includes some of Atlanta 's liveliest nightspots and some of its best restaurants alongside an array of art galleries and boutiques. If you're not into the high-energy dance clubs and would rather enjoy your cocktails in peace, the Highland Tap is a cozy and quiet bar that draws a distinguished crowd. The dimly lit environment helps to create a romantic mood, and with wine the drink of choice, it is the perfect location for a nightcap with your date.

When staying in the East Village , you can save some money for partying by checking into the Quality Inn Northeast , which is just minutes from restaurants and nightlife along with such popular Atlanta attractions as the Georgia Dome, Phillips Arena and the Buckhead District. Those looking to stay in the city, should consider the Westin Peachtree Plaza . Within walking distance of nightclubs, shopping and dining, the hotel is a great choice. The views also can't be beat. The Westin Peachtree Plaze is the tallest hotel in North American and the Northern Hemisphere.

There are of course, many other nightlife options scattered throughout the city. Here is a look at a few that are worth mentioning.
